|
TS temperature-sensing magnetic reed switches provide high reliability in low power applications. They gained wide acceptance because of their narrow differential and long-term repeatability. The reed switch is an especially good choice over other thermally-actuated devices when increased life or protection of the switch contacts is a requirement.
For temperature control or other temperature-related applications, these hermetically-sealed devices can accurately sense temperatures equally well in liquids, semi-solids, and gasses.
Because of their ability to hold to specified tolerances, they provide a high degree of predictability over a broad range of temperatures, and any temperature in the -30℃ to 180℃ range can be supplied.
The basic construction of TS temperature-sensing magnetic reed switch consists of a set of rhodium reed contacts, two permanent toroidal magnets, and a ferrite compound whose magnetic reluctance varies with temperature. Rhodium contacts are used to ensure long, reliable life, even under a variety of load conditions. |
